Why Clients Stay With Us
Buying a policy takes a few weeks. Owning one takes decades. We set up our work around the decades part.
- 01
We go over the policy with you when it arrives
A new policy is a thick packet. We sit down with you, by phone or at your place of work, and point out the parts that matter: the coverage amount, the beneficiary names, the premium due date and any riders. You know what you own before you file it away.
- 02
We check back later
Once the policy is in force, we reach out every so often to see if anything has changed. A new baby, a marriage, a divorce, a paid-off loan or a new job can all mean your coverage or beneficiaries should change too.
- 03
We show you more than one option
We lay out term and permanent choices side by side, with what each one costs you now and what it does later. If a smaller policy covers the need, we say so.
- 04
We tell you how to keep the policy healthy
Missed premiums, outdated beneficiaries and loans against cash value are the usual ways a policy goes wrong. We explain each one plainly so it doesn't happen to you.
- 05
One person to call
When you have a question about your coverage, you call us. You won't be passed between departments to get a straight answer.
Coverage and Planning We Handle
Most people come to us with one question: how do I make sure my family is covered if something happens to me. Term life insurance and mortgage protection insurance answer that for a set number of years. Whole life insurance, universal life insurance and final expense insurance last longer and build in different ways. Retirement income planning looks at the other side, making your savings pay you once the paychecks stop.

Term Life Insurance
Affordable coverage for a set number of years, matched to your mortgage, kids and income, with check-ins after the policy is issued.

Final Expense Insurance
A small, permanent policy meant to pay for a funeral, burial and last bills, so your family is not left covering them.

Retirement Income Planning
We line up Social Security, pensions, savings and insurance-based income so you know what arrives each month, then we check the plan with you every year.

Whole Life Insurance
Lifetime coverage with a fixed premium and cash value, set up by an agent who checks back once the policy starts so you know how to keep it working.

Universal Life Insurance
Permanent coverage with payments you can adjust, set up with honest numbers and reviewed with you every year so the policy stays on track.

Mortgage Protection
A life policy sized to your mortgage balance and term, so your family can keep up with the loan or pay it off if you are gone.

A Small Agency That Keeps in Touch
Life Insurance Mesquite helps people in Mesquite and the towns around it put the right coverage in place and keep it right. We work with working adults, young families, small business owners and people getting close to retirement.
Plenty of agents disappear once the first premium clears. We think the real work starts there. Beneficiaries go stale, families grow, loans get paid off and retirement creeps closer. We check back so your policy keeps doing what you bought it to do.
How It Works, Start to Finish
Plan on a few weeks from our first conversation to the day your policy arrives. Most of that timing depends on the insurer and whether an exam is required.
- 1
A short phone call
We learn who depends on your paycheck, what you owe and what you want the coverage to handle. It is about a coffee break's worth of time.
- 2
Options side by side
We return with several policy options and explain what each costs and what you give up with each one.
- 3
Application and underwriting
We help you complete the application. If an exam is required, it is usually a brief appointment that can be set up at your workplace.
- 4
Policy delivery walk-through
Once the policy is approved, we review every page with you and confirm the beneficiary names and amounts are correct.
- 5
Check-ins down the road
Over the years we contact you to see whether your coverage still fits. If it no longer does, we help you change it.
What Shapes Your Premium
Life insurance has no set price tag. The insurer weighs your details against the coverage you ask for and names a rate. These are the factors that move it most.
Quotes are free and done by phone after a quick talk about your age, health and what you want covered. The final rate comes from the insurer after it reviews your application.
- How old you are
- Each birthday nudges the rate higher. Starting earlier tends to cost less across the whole time you own the policy.
- Your medical picture
- Carriers review past and present conditions, your height and weight, and in some cases lab work. You can skip the exam on some policies, though the same coverage usually runs higher that way.
- Smoking and nicotine
- Tobacco users see far steeper rates. Most carriers ask for a stretch without tobacco before they give non-user pricing.
- Amount and length of coverage
- More coverage means a higher premium. On term, locking the rate for longer also lifts the monthly bill, so the same amount costs more per month over thirty years than over ten.
- Which kind of policy
- Term buys the most coverage for the fewest dollars. Whole life and universal life run higher since they never expire and grow cash value.
- Add-on riders
- One rider covers your premiums if a disability stops your work; another pays out part of the benefit early during a serious illness. Every rider adds to the bill, so we walk through each and you keep only what you will actually use.

Questions Clients Bring Us
- What amount of coverage do I need?
- Total what your family would face without you: debts, funeral and final bills, and the years of paychecks they would miss. Subtract your savings and any policy you already hold. The gap is your number, and we figure it out together over the phone.
- What sets term life apart from whole life?
- Term covers a set number of years, commonly 10, 20 or 30, and is the cheaper of the two. Whole life lasts your entire life at one steady premium and grows cash value you can borrow from. Plenty of people carry term while the kids are small and the mortgage is large, along with a smaller permanent policy for the later years.
- Will I need a medical exam?
- It depends. Certain insurers approve people from health questions only, and final expense coverage seldom calls for an exam. If you are in good health, taking the exam often lowers your price. We point you to the path that suits you.
- Isn't the coverage from my job enough?
- A work plan helps, but it tends to pay just a year or two of pay and typically stops when you leave. A policy you own follows you through every job change.
- What happens once I've bought a policy?
- When it shows up, we read through it with you so the amount, the beneficiary and the due dates are clear. After that we stay in contact, most of all around major life changes, and you can phone us with questions whenever you like.
- Am I able to switch my beneficiary down the road?
- On most policies, yes. You can send the insurer a change form at any point. We help you complete it and make sure the insurer has it on file. It is one of the first questions we raise when we check in.
- What keeps a policy from lapsing?
- Make each premium payment on time, ideally through automatic drafts. If your budget gets squeezed, call us before a payment slips, because reducing the coverage or another option might help. Most policies give you a grace period, but it does not last long.
